Drain unblocking in South Cambridgeshire
Use this South Cambridgeshire district guide for places such as Cambourne, Cottenham, Sawston, Histon, Milton, Waterbeach, Melbourn and Linton. For an address in Cambridge city itself, choose the separate Cambridge drainage page. Send a drainage enquiry.
Locating a South Cambridgeshire property
Give the village as well as the postal address, postcode and any entrance details needed to identify the property. A Cambridge postal address alone may not be enough to select the most useful village page. If the property uses a private treatment system, mention that before the proposed service is discussed.
What if my village is not listed? Use this district guide or the county directory to make an enquiry with the full address. The team can discuss availability and whether the requested work is within scope for the property. Explain the immediate symptoms separately from any planned inspection so the booking can identify the service you need.
Give your full postcode, which fittings are affected and any earlier clearance attempts so we can discuss the work and availability.

Towns and local drainage pages

South Cambridgeshire is a wider district service area; select a town above where appropriate.
Clearance and recurring problems
Explain whether one fitting or several drains are backing up, and whether an outside gully is overflowing. We assess accessible drainage before selecting a suitable clearance method. Problems that keep returning may need further investigation and a discussion of cleaning, CCTV inspection or repair.
Preparing for a visit
If wastewater is overflowing, stop using affected fittings and avoid repeated flushing. Keep people and pets away from wastewater. Tell the engineer about any drain-cleaning chemicals used, restricted access, shared drainage and previous reports.
