Compare quotations for the same work

Compare the service scope as well as the quoted total. Check whether the price covers an initial clearance, a defined period of work, preparatory cleaning or a camera inspection, and ask what happens if access prevents completion. Confirm how any additional work will be priced and approved before it begins. Keep the written quote and reported findings together. A low headline amount for one task cannot be compared directly with a quotation that includes wider investigation or a specified repair.

Ask for the quoted amount, whether VAT applies and whether it is included. Confirm the charging basis, what the quoted work includes, any time limit or conditions, and whether any further work would be quoted separately. If anything is unclear, ask before booking.
